The following privacy policy outlines the procedure Adopt-A-School (referred to as "AAS" or "the program") follows to ensure the online protection of its tutors:

AAS will at no time give out any information about its tutors, such as name, e-mail, or tutoring times, to anyone unless they are affiliated with the program or The Ohio State University, or unless disclosing such information will ensure the safety of another person.

AAS will not sell information about its tutors.

Adopt-A-School stores information about each tutor that directly pertains to AAS. AAS may also store demographic information (i.e. course of study, time spent at Ohio State, gender) about tutors to determine the make-up of the program. Information not pertaining to the program will not be stored.

A small file called a session cookie will be stored on the computer of the user of the online scheduling system. This cookie will only contain only Adopt-A-School related information, allowing the tutor to transfer between pages of the online scheduling system without continuously submitting the username and personal access code. Upon closing the browser, the cookie will be removed from the user's computer. AAS continuously looks for new ways to protect the security of its tutors' information.

AAS will be continuously looking for new ways to protect the security of its tutors' information.

AAS requests that users do not use their bank passwords, part of their social security number, or other highly personal combination of numbers and letters as their personal access code. AAS will not be held responsible for lost or stolen PACs.

AAS reserves the right to update its privacy policy at any time.
